Novel protein from water lentils
Lemna, or duckweed, is the smallest flowering plant on Earth and a rapidly multiplying source of protein. The European Commission has authorized novel protein from Lemna for use in food products and dietary supplements, marking a significant step in the protein transition. The Dutch company Rubisco Foods received support in compiling their novel food dossier. We supported them with the novel food procedure for protein from Lemna water lentils.
Major step forward in access to orphan drugs
Together with Vereniging Innovatieve Geneesmiddelen, we started work on improving access to orphan drugs for people with rare conditions in 2022. Last month, important results of two action teams were presented. As ‘bridge builders’, we played an important role in bringing together different interests and facilitating constructive cooperation.
Inspirational videos on landscape elements in practice
A coalition under the Delta Plan for Biodiversity Recovery Foundation developed the Landscape Action Plan in 2022 at the government's request. The main goal is to achieve 10% green-blue infrastructure in rural areas by 2050, enhancing biodiversity. Together, governments, farmers, land managers, and environmental organizations can reach this target! To inspire action, the Delta Plan, in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Agency, we created four videos showcasing practical examples of green-blue infrastructure.
