Lorena & Isabel, creating space for connection
Isabel is a pioneering food sustainability advocate and well known for her behavior change campaigns and powerful stories that shape the future of our food system. This year she joined Schuttelaar as partner, launching our Concept & Communication Studio to bring our expert work to life through storytelling, design and digital solutions.
Lorena is a passionate EU policy expert and sustainability activist, with deep experience in agri-food innovation and community-led development across Europe. She leads the agriculture team in Brussels and empowers the next generation through the Young Professional Network. Next to that, Lorena founded GAIA – the Gender Alliance for Innovation in Agriculture – dedicated to supporting gender equality in the agri-tech sector.
Space for connection
Hosts Isabel Boerdam & Lorena van de Kolk will guide the evening in both Dutch and English, creating space for connection and co-creation.
Keynote by Koos Biesmeijer, inspired by nature
Koos Biesmeijer is the head of the research group Dutch Biodiversity and Society (Nederlandse Biodiversiteit and Samenleving) at Naturalis and a professor of Natural Capital at Leiden University. He collaborates with numerous scientific and societal partners to improve the Dutch landscape for pollinators and biodiversity in general. He is an advisor on biodiversity for the province of South Holland and vice-chairman of the nature conservation organization Natuurmonumenten.
Inspired by nature
Koos Biesmeijer, scientific director of Naturalis, will challenge us to rethink how we engage with the world, focusing on system change and the wisdom we can draw from nature.

Dinner with a story
The Food Line-Up is an independent, B Corp-certified caterer known for its bold, creative, and sustainable plant-based food concepts. Specializing in translating themes into taste and experience, their menu is designed around future-proof ingredients and regenerative agriculture. Chef Pepijn will prepare a dinner inspired by the Brasserie 2050 concept, which explores how we will feed 10 billion people by 2050. Drawing from themes such as salinized soils, the protein transition, and food scarcity, the dinner reimagines familiar dishes through the lenses of innovation, circularity, and resilience, offering a taste of the future and a glimpse of its solutions.
